Volunteer & Visitor Engagement Programs – KIRA SED Foundation

The KIRA SED Foundation welcomes individuals who are passionate about community development to get involved through volunteering or project visits. These programs are open to both local and international participants aged 18 years and older.

Volunteer Program – “Volunteer with KIRA”

The Volunteer Program at KIRA SED Foundation is designed for individuals who wish to contribute their time, skills, and energy to support our education-based initiatives.

Ways to Volunteer:

  1. Responding to a Volunteer Offer:
Volunteers may apply for specific roles or opportunities advertised by the foundation. Each application is reviewed carefully, and final approval is made by the foundation.
  2. Proposing a Volunteer Project:
Applicants can also submit their own volunteer project proposals. The foundation will assess the relevance and potential benefit to our mission before making a decision.

Duration:

  • Volunteering can last from a few days up to three months (aligned with a tourist visa).
  • Longer stays may be arranged through a special agreement with the foundation.

What We Provide:

  • Free accommodation in Musanze.
  • Logistical support from our team.
  • Note: Volunteers are responsible for their own food and transportation costs.

All volunteer arrangements are formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the volunteer and the foundation.
